I remember wrapping up this photo session feeling thankful that I had gotten some good individual shots of the babies. Although we try to lay them down at about the same time when they sleep, they typically wake up at different times so we did the individual pictures first, as they woke up, but by the time we got through each of the individuals, the sweeties were tired and the pictures of the two of them together were getting hard, so we called it a day and were thankful for what we had. When I finally downloaded the pictures today, this little gem was a sweet surprise. Its not perfectly in focus and we usually pop the binky out before we shoot, but this one is special to me. Its sweet to see them looking at each other. They have a dear little connection - we often see them looking around for the other if they aren't together. Quinn (on the right) looks so knowing in this picture, doesn't he? I think he's onto us and he's trying to let her know to be careful, Ruby is getting the message and planning their escape. Quinn is a careful boy. A good big brother. He's the one that will someday look both ways, twice, before crossing the street or measure twice and cut once . . . like his Papa.

You have such a good eye for the shot, Betty! How can they be so cute?!! Love their looks at each other. There are several scenarios that could be written about those looks.
Thanks for the new desktop background. Excellent. :D
They are so sweet! I love those shots and videos of Q looking after Rubes. He's already such a great big brother. I can't WAIT to see them! I haven' even met them yet in person, but we still have nicknames for them. :)
