Cross Trail Extension

One of the exciting things that happened in town this past year was
that a new section of the Sitka Cross Trail was opened up!
We completely missed out on the opening & on using the trail this year due
to the fact that we've been living in the haze of surviving newborn twins.
When our friends texted us out of the blue and offered to hang out with the babies on Friday night,
we jumped at the chance to take a hike up this new section of trail!
Cascade Creek
We felt like tourists in our own town - it was all so gorgeous and the warm sun was shining.
Rosie was a great hiking companion as always and we were glad to
give her some much needed attention.
It was nice to laugh together as we walked along.
As my friend, Makayla, would say, "Stay calm & 'stache on!"
I love this photo Cliff took of this old tree, it has such nice
perspective and it is framed up so nicely with the sky and light.
We were practically giddy as we hiked on Friday.
I'm so thankful for the time we had together and especially for God's breathtaking creation.

that's so exciting! So does it go all the way to Starrigavan now? Great picture of you with Rosie, too :)
