Anchorage with Infant Twins

We are all together in Anchorage this week! We are piggy backing on a work trip Cliff has. He's taking part in an Environmental Review Training for HUD funded projects.

We are staying in the same hotel that his meeting is being held in, so we get to see him at lunch and every now and then when he pops up to the fourth floor during a break!

The babies are doing well and I'm learning how to take my job on the road more each time we go somewhere with the sweeties. My job of feeding, cleaning, rocking, changing and caring for the babies doesn't fundamentally change, but the routine and location changes offer new challenges.

Yesterday when housekeeping came in the afternoon, we made it all the way down our hall, onto the elevator and to the second floor where Cliff's meeting was being held by ourselves! Ruby crawled the whole way and Quinn crawled long enough to get some very red little knees! We made it in time to see Cliff during his afternoon break but we had evidently wandered too far from home - the babies were too tired to crawl back! We had fun together anyway, looking out the window & playing in the hall for a couple hours until cliff finished up at 5 and we all went back to the room together!

Ooof, I feel you on the "location change challenge" thing. What has become second nature at home suddenly has to be thought about again. I love the diaper bum pic!

You are a champ! I love thinking about you all there together. What fun to let your babies crawl along the hallway and then just hang out and look out the window. I am proud of your patience. You are a good, good mama! Kelly

I love Quinn's smile in the top picture. What a little charmer! Soon you're going to be the champ traveler of all. I'm proud of you for taking the challenge. BTW, did either of the twins stop to pick at the design in the hotel carpet. That's what my girls did when they were about that age. So curious. Love to all.
