Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day!

A while back, I bought this book, Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day by Jeff Hertzberg & Zoe Francois. What FUN I have had baking bread and sharing the secret of making it in only 5 minutes a day with anyone who will lend an ear. Easy to make artisan bread, what could be better!? Check it out from your local library as soon as possible!

Here is a picture of bread that I made right here in my little orange kitchen
using the European Peasant Bread recipe in this cookbook!

Absolutely delicious as well as beautiful!

For Christmas, my brother and his family gave me a bread baking gift basket that included another cookbook by the same authors, Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day and it is every bit as good as the first cookbook! Yay! On the first night I had my cookbook I made these

Whole Wheat Baguettes!

I used the artisan bread topping seed mixture, vital wheat gluten, danish dough whisk and handy dough slasher from King Arthur Flour that were also in my gift basket from Jack and Jennifer's family!

Jeff & Zoe, the authors of these two books, are featured in this video that includes the recipe I used for the artisan bread that also demonstrates the 5 minutes a day bread making process, check it out:

Enjoy the video and make sure to tell me about your bread if you decide
to join the Homemade Bread Revolution!

While I was pregnant I bought their latest book
Artisan Pizza and Flatbread in Five Minutes a Day!
I have enjoyed reading it, but I haven't had a moment to try a single recipe from it yet!
Have you tried this bread?!  Let me know if you have!

Hey, Betty! I made artisan bread for one of the meals while Jack is here. I think it was a hit. :) I tell people the recipe is "no fail." Even if my dough seems a bit watery or it loses its shape when I set it down to rise, it always turns out beautiful. I'll have to try the fun Peasant Bread recipe. I love how this bread takes very little prep time. My kind of recipe. Andy and our kids LOOOOOOVE it. I asked for the book last Mother's Day. :)

Christiane and I are looking at your blog now. We keep talking about the babies and how cute they are. When we got to the artisan bread, at the same time, we said, "Awwwww! It's so cute!" lol Tiane just got back from swimming lessons, and she is having a lot of fun!
