We recently took the plunge and upgraded our camera! I'm having a blast using my new full frame Canon 5D with my 24-105 f/4 Canon L-series lens too! We launched a photo business last November and since then, have made enough money to swing the upgrade.

The new kid on the block, she's large and in charge!

Definitely keep the hold camera as a backup. Pros need backups.

Mon - I'm planning to keep my old camera for a backup AND for hiking - its much lighter than my new camera.
Betty--lighter WOULD be better while hiking! Besides, the first camera had such a great back story. How can you get rid of it?
